Job Description:The company:Our client is a global distribution company based in Brantford. Due to exciting growth, they are hiring a Controller to join the organization. Please note that this role is hybrid and requires a minimum of 3 days onsite.The role:Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will direct, oversee and control all financial aspects of the business for the Canadian and US operations. In this position, the Controller is responsible for all financial reporting, profit margin analysis, and analyzing working capital by business line. In addition, the Controller oversees the month end close, analyzes actual vs budget, and leads the monthly financial performance review. The Controller plays a key role in assisting local management teams in all financial aspects and processes of the business. The Controller also provides analysis and support as required to senior management.What do you bring to the role?To be considered for this position, you should be a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, where you have gained strong people management skills. You will lead a team of 2 staff, so strong mentorship and coaching experience is critical for this role. You should have exceptional communication skills as you will be regularly communicating with the Senior Leadership Team and Operations. You should have strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. You should have a strong background and passion for process improvements with a view to automation where possible.Requirements:

Expected salary

$100000 – 130000 per year
